HSS.ie is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including people with disabilities. We continuously improve the user experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards wherever possible.
Accessibility status
Our website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA standard. While most core functionality meets or exceeds Level AA criteria, some design or third-party limitations remain.

Known accessibility limitations
- Adjacent or redundant links appear in certain image/text combinations within Elementor sections.
- PDF links are provided for downloadable resources; not all PDFs are yet fully tagged for accessibility.
- Some landmarks and heading structures are automatically generated by Elementor and cannot be modified without core theme changes.
- Mobile menu improvements are in progress: the current mobile menu font size and spacing will be increased to improve visibility and touch target accessibility. Additionally, visibility issues on certain screen sizes are being resolved.
- Colour contrast is being enhanced on certain branded blue (
#0080C9) elements; replacements such as#005B94are being phased in to meet WCAG AA contrast ratios.
Measures we take
- Routine testing with Lighthouse, WAVE, and manual screen-reader review.
- Continuous improvement of colour contrast, keyboard navigation, and ARIA labels.
- Training our design and development team to maintain accessibility best practices in all new updates.
